We spent the weekend in Palm Springs with Michael's family minus the nieces and nephews. We had a great time. Michael had so much fun that he had to sleep for 11 hours once we got back to our apartment. Mikado's is a tradition in Michael's family and it was delicious.

STRONG-ARMED ROBBERY

DATE & TIME OF OCCURRENCE: Feb, 07, 2010 at approximately 1:20 PM.

LOCATION: Orchard Ave & Jefferson Blvd. (Off campus)

REPORTED OFFENSE:
The complainant was walking east bound on Jefferson Blvd (south side) when Susp # 1 approached him on foot. Susp # 1 demanded property from the complainant and a physical altercation ensued. Susp #1 removed the complainant's property and ran to the north side of Jefferson Blvd. where Susps #2 & #3 were waiting inside a parked vehicle facing west bound on Jefferson Blvd. All three Suspects then drove away west bound on Jefferson Blvd towards Vermont Ave.

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION (provided by complainant) Suspect # 1 male, black, approximately 17 to 19 yrs of age wearing a long sleeved striped shirt and blue pants.
Suspect # 2 male, black, no further details.
Suspect # 3 male, black, no further details.

SUSPECT VEHICLE:
Black 4 door Toyota Corolla, unknown year, no further details.

Sometimes my favorite weekends are the weekends we stay in LA especially when family/friends come to us. On Friday night my parents drove up to go to the UCLA-BYU volleyball game. Megan and Evan decided to come along and stay in LA for the night.

We had a nice and relaxing Saturday with them in town. We first went to brunch at Toast.
After brunch, we walked around the Grove and showed Megan and Evan the Farmer's Market. We also were very proud of ourselves for spotting this celebrity couple . . .

We came back to our place (on a sunny Saturday) to watch Surrogates on Apple TV, but we all fell asleep.

Before we dropped them off at the train station we picked up some taquitos at Cielito Lindo (http://www.cielitolindo.org/). It was a relaxing and fun day . . . that night we went to go see a movie with John and Bev and Michael's car broke down.
