Happy Halloween!

My parents’ neighbors made these “gravestones” for my sisters. They know my sisters all too well.

Adorable Nieces

Alyse, Annie, Madelyn

Alyse and Madelyn

How cute are our little nieces! They were so much fun to hang out with when they came out to CA in June . . . and they finally started to warm up to Michael. = )

Madelyn is the youngest one and her faces in the pictures are hilarious. We went and saw Up with them and she would just start laughing hysterically at random parts. The people in front of us turned around because she was so loud.

My family loved hanging out with Leah’s girls at our wedding. It made my dad all sentimental because he said it reminded him of when we were all little. There is definitely a funny dynamic to all girl families.

I hope some day we get to live closer to them.

Since USC dental school ≠ parties I figured I might have to branch out to new material. Also, I've received complaints that my old stuff was "boring."

My conversation with Michael in the middle of the night after waking up. (I woke up because he was hovering.)

Me: "Honey, what are you doing?"
Michael: "Just looking at you."
Me: "Why don't you lie back down?"
Michael: "You are being so ridiculous" (One of Michael's favorite words right now) "You are the one who got stuff all over the bed."
Me: "Really? What stuff?" (I'm starting to laugh)
Michael: "PUTTY"
Me: "Putty? What kind of putty? What does it look like?"
Michael: "Putty pasta sauce."

I start laughing really hard and then Michael gets annoyed at first and then gets quiet when he realizes what is happening. For a minute I almost think he is pulling my leg . . . but he's not. That's just Michael when he sleeps.

Laker Playoff

My parents both grew up in Los Angeles and I grew up watching the Lakers and the Suns. I remember one day coming home to find my mom crying with the TV on. I thought that someone in my family had been hurt, but it was the day Magic Johnson announced he had HIV. I'm definitely not a die hard basketball fan, but I love going to games.

This summer Scott and Julianne invited us to go to a Laker playoff game at Scott's company box. It was so fun and we were so excited to go. Michael is a huge Warriors fan, but the Lakers are his #2. We got there a little earlier than everyone else and had to wait at one of the entrances where we were going to meet. Luckily it was right next to the valet, so we watched as Andy Garcia, George Lopez, Adam Levine, David Arquette, Dustin Hoffman, and so on all rolled in. It was fun seeing what kind of cars everyone drove and who enjoyed making an entrance. If you ever have friends who want to see a celebrity in LA, this spot did not disappoint.

Scott and Julianne also bring their binoculars, which come in handy when you get bored of the game. Above is a picture from the game.

Fabric Shops in Los Angeles

When I was engaged and trying to figure out my wedding dress I did a lot of research on the best fabric stores.

I found my sash at International Silks and Woolens. They had an awesome selection of ribbons to channel the whole Monique Lhuillier style.

The other fabric store I had some success with was F&S Fabrics. It was a bit pricey, but had a selection of the fabrics I was looking for.

Also, Mood Fabrics has great fabrics as well.

And of course Michael Levine.
